📙 Arthur Hailey was born in Luton, England, in 1920. He was a flight lieutenant in World War II and served in the Royal Air Force in the Middle and Far East. His two most recent books, Airport and Hotel, have been sensational bestsellers. His novels are published in all major languages. His plays have been performed throughout the world on television, and many of his stories have been made into successful motion pictures. Mr.Hailey lives in California with his wife and three children
