📗 Rosie has ridden trails all over the United States and in places that only can only be appreciated from the back of a horse. Packing everything she needs on her horse, she takes to roads and trails accompanied only by her horse and dog. She began doing this in the 1960s, riding in places near Washington, DC, where she lived. After college and her career, she took to the road with her horse and pursued her passion for new trails to ride. This took her west to Colorado, Wyoming, South Dakota, Montana, Arizona, New Mexico, and Nebraska—adventures and all. She is an endurance rider for sure and has competed in one hundred-mile races across the country. Her horse adventures are an escape from an intense career in critical care trauma nursing. These stories tell how it’s done.
