📘 There are few men who have chosen (or been chosen by God) to be a second man. There is often very little glory in this life working for someone else. Too often, men want the glory of being the pastor, but are not interested in being a servant first. As pastoral staff, we truly should be servants to the people. As a second man, we are a servant to the Senior Pastor and the people. The purpose for this book is not to instruct a pastor on how to run his ministry; but it is written to encourage the second man in ways to identify with, understand, and be a help to the man under which God has placed him. If you are a layman in the church, take ownership in your ministry and be the second man that your pastor can rely on.
