📙 Excerpt from Catalogue Of Books In Foreign Languages In The Cambridge Public Library, 1891Most of the German books are also from the Môring bequest, reinforced by a gift from Adolph Vogl, Esq., and by a few purchases from the Citizens' Subscription Fund. The French books were mostly the donation of Denman H. Ross, Esq., or bought from the Citizens' Fund. The books in other foreign languages are mainly from the Citizens' Fund, or have been obtained by exchange from the Harvard College Library, which has always dealt liberally with us.The foreign collection as a whole includes about two thousand titles; and though as yet fragmentary furnishes an excellent founda tion ou which to build in the future.
