📙 Karnataka co- Karnataka operative oilseed growers federation limited was registered as a co-operative society under the Co-operative Society Act, 1959 on October 26, 1984. The primary objective of co-operative intervention is to help stabilize the price of oilseeds which are fluctuating across time and thus safeguard the farmers against price risks. The pricing strategy envisaged a provision for paying the farmers the price difference from the surplus generated by the federation through its commercial operation in oil and other by products. In other words in due course of time the organization of farmers are expected to evolve and function in such a way that these organizations would have substantial say in avoiding/sharing of price risk and increasing the producers say in consumer price rupee.
