📓 Winnie-the-Pooh is the most popular children's book in Ukraine. It is also the most popular children's book in the world, but it is especially popular in Ukraine because the Bear in a popular animal in Ukraine.Ukrainian is spoken by forty-five million people. By land area, Ukraine is the largest country in Europe that is entirely within Europe, as Russia and Turkey are mostly outside of Europe and the area of France includes “overseas regions”. The 2014 Ukrainian revolution took place on 21 February 2014 when the pro-Russian President Yanukovych fled the county and a pro-Western government took power the following day. Ever since there have been constant threats by Russia to try to take back Ukraine and the situation between the two countries has remained tense.This translation into Ukrainian is part of project to translate Winnie-the-Pooh into other languages. The idea is children need to learn to read at an early age and the best way to teach them to read is to provide reading materials that they find interesting. Children around the world laugh when they see Winnie-the-Pooh saying and doing silly things. Since Winnie-the-Pooh is the most popular children's book world-wide, translating this book into the different languages of the world will be conducive to teaching children to read in those languages.Ishi Press has reprinted translations of Winnie-the-Pooh into 41 languages thus far.
