📘 As of 2017, the date this book was published, Dr. Lino Garcia, Jr., Professor Emeritus of Spanish Literature, has been employed in one capacity or another at the same university for half a century. Armed with experiences from his family background, educational years, and his time in the U.S. Navy, Garcia set out to do his part to make right those things that he believed to be wrong. Leadership takes on many forms. Garcia led by serving as a role model for his students, by championing various reform initiatives, and by supporting several key leaders who he believed were willing to make needed changes. In sum, these interviews reveal some of Garcia's many previously unknown contributions to South Texas.
