🔖 This is a book of poetry, written by a young man who would love to spend his time thinking over a cup of coffee or listening to squirrels talk in the woods, but fortunately gets distracted by all the other wonderful things there are to do. Here, he invites you into his reflections on what it means to love yourself and love others, how the ways we construct our stories inform who we are, and sometimes, what it would be like to be an earthworm.In it, the artists hopes you find whimsy, food for thought, something to tug on your heartstrings, but most of all, hope - hope that, on this planet that seems to amplify news of its own unkindness, we might make it a little kinder by sharing ourselves authentically.Christopher Mikkelson is an Oregon poet based in the Willamette Valley. He has been performing since 2013, and writing since long before that. He can often be spotted at the Eugene Poetry Slam or Corvallis Open Mic scene, and has a special place in his heart for Linn-Benton Community College, where he served as Student Poet Laureate during the 2016-2017 school year.
