📓 The six-year-old William Borden, secretly, in his childish hand, wrote "I want to be an honest man when I grow up, and true and kind and loving and faithful man." His ensuing short life was an inspiration to his generation. In particular, Kenneth Taylor, translator of the Living Bible and founder of the publisher Tyndale House, calls Borden of Yale '09 the one book, after the Bible, that has most influenced him.
