📘 In this thesis, I focus on the generation of nonclassical light with InAs quantum dots, specifically, on the role of temporal correlations in the biexciton-exciton cascade with regard to realizing a time-bin entanglement scheme. In this work I used self-assembled InAs quantum dots. The sample we used contains quantum dots embedded into a distributed Bragg reflector cavity, which improves the emission properties of the quantum dots. For entanglement to work in multi-photon experiments one would need a high purity of the exciton photon.
