📒 Nature is rich in resources and its exploration can lead to cure several unmet ailments and uncountable benefits to the mankind. Among these resources, medicinal plants provide nutritional as well as medicinal solutions to the living creatures of this universe since its very existence. Natural products still represent a huge reservoir of possible active substances and more than half of the world population still depends on the traditional medicines because of their ready availability, least cost, and socio-cultural acceptance. The present study aimed at exploring the bioactive natural products from three medicinal plants; Tamus communis, Plantago major, and Delphinium kohatense, and resulted in the isolation of two new, and twelve known compounds. The structure elucidation of these compounds was carried out using different spectroscopic techniques including UV, IR, and 1D (1H and 13C NMR) and 2D NMR (HMQC, HMBC, COSY, etc.) spectroscopy, and mass spectrometry (EI-MS, HR-MS, FAB-MS). The study on the biological evaluation of these products is also given.
