According to Hans Selye, ‘it is not stress that kills us; but it's our reaction to it'. Emotional intelligence can be summarised as emotions plus intelligence. It describes how we manage our emotions using our intelligence so that we stay balanced, focused and in control – no matter what challenges we faces.
