📒 Many methods have been investigated for isolation and purification of lysozyme form chicken egg white. Most of them are based on chromatographic techniques i.e. a metal affinity chromatography or ion exchange chromatography. The principle limitation of these methods is that chromatography is an expensive technique and the yields obtained do no justify commercialization. Hence, we have tried to find a method which can be used as a replacement for chromatography and also is less complex with marked accuracy. The novelty of the experiments lied in the device used for dialysis i.e. Small Wonder Lyzer, which is an easy to use patentable membrane dialyzer.
