📖 Naproxen is chemically, (2S)-2-(6-methoxy naphthalen-2-yl) propanoic acid. It is a propionic acid derivative related to the aryl acetic acid group of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. It is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) commonly used for the reduction of moderate to severe pain, fever, inflammation and stiffness. Esomeprazole is chemically, (S)-5-methoxy-2-[[(4-methoxy-3,5-dimethyl-2-pyridinyl) methyl]-sulfinyl]-1H-benzimidazole. It is a gastric proton-pump inhibitor (PPI) used in treatment of gastric-acid related diseases. Simple, selective and accurate analytical techniques have been developed and validated for the analysis of Naproxen and Esomeprazole in combined dosage form. The objective of this review is to describe the various analytical methods for the estimation of Naproxen and Esomeprazole in combined dosage form. All methods are validated as per ICH guidelines.
