📗 To feed 9 billion people in near future, world needs sustainable production in agriculture, forest, livestock and water-bodies without doing major harm to nature. However, agricultural activity is always blamed to a certain level as a threat to environment. Loading of fertilizer elements into soil and its pathway to environment makes the issue critical. Phosphorus is one of the most costly fertilizer element in most of the countries. Along with other essential elements judicious application and management of P is deeply concerned for agriculture, forest and other primary commodity producers.Very high quantity of Ca-associated phosphorus in high pH soils in Bangladesh needs a strategic fertilizer management. Shifting a little fraction from this huge pool to soil available P can improve P availability effectively. Only a portion (as low as 25%)of fertilizers from organic sources can do this job very efficiently. Inoculation with efficient Mycorrhizal fungi or nitrogen fixing bacteria may bring benefits to agriculture and environment. Such formulation could be recommended for mass production or at small scale production and use at farm level for successful crop production.
