My health makes the title inevitable.
The progression of disease makes this final Hurrah! even more emphatic.
I now know, existentially, the God of Jesus is indeed present with me in every moment of decline and I want to celebrate that Presence with all my residual being!
I have a favourite Bible text: “The light shines in the darkness and the darkness cannot smother it.” With this text I present these poems, rhymes, and limericks as one elderly pastor’s testament to the grace-gift of a personal faith which transcends a plethora of doubts.'
