📙 The Cyprus issue has generated reactions from scholars, policy makers, International Organizations as well as from several countries across the globe for decades. The dispute in the Island appeared to have become more complicated after the republic of Turkey intervened in 1974. And since then controversy continued to trail such intervention and its legality under International Law was challenged. This works tries to shed some light about the legal position of Turkey's intervention in the Island, and at the same time looking at a likely solution to the political deadlock between the two Cyprus communities in the Island. The works also takes a look at how the Cyprus issue is seen to affect Turkey's EU membership and concludes that there is need for a settlement of the age long dispute in the Island.
