📖 Over one-third of the world's population has been infected by the tuberculosis bacterium, and new infections occur at a rate of one per second .Bovine tuberculosis (BTB) is a zoonotic disease that causes respiratory disorder in both cattle and humans. Active animal tuberculosis outbreaks represent possible sources of infection to both animal and human populations .About 0.5 - 1.5% of human tuberculosis cases were confirmed by culture as caused by M. bovis. These cases were found mostly to be either reactivation of old lesions or infections contracted in other countries which lacked aggressive animal control measures.
