📓 The 1920s-Northwest Alberta, Canada Leaving turmoil, oppression, and poverty behind in the Ukraine, Alex Kravchuk comes to this wilderness to lead a peaceful life as the first settler to turn the rich soil to grow wheat. Two Métis Cree brothers, Jakub and Emile, trace their ancestry to centuries of life on this same land where their forbearers used the buffalo and all that nature provided. Two different cultures, two different lifestyles living in Canada with a government making laws affecting them. Dramatic changes are in the future.
