📓 Loughlin Tatem is a known Kittitian novelist, playwright, and poet, whose work focuses on the sociological circumstances that give rise to much of the emotional trauma witnessed in many Caribbean villages. Tatem is a graduate of the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill campus. He has been a teacher much of his life. He is known for managing and directing street plays performed locally with The Poinciana Theatre Productions drama group, which he founded during his early years as a teacher at the Washington Archibald High School on St. Kitts. Tatem has been the recipient of several awards for outstanding service as a teacher and writer, and for his involvement in the performing arts. Loughlin Tatem has written three books to date, his first being a look into the emotional struggles of Caribbean men and women through his interesting novel A Tempting to Confess. He has also published a book of poetry, Silence-My Heart is Speaking, which also brings focus to the sociological and mental morass unique to the Caribbean social construct. This book, Voice of the Brave, offers a channel for taking the Caribbean back to the time when children and teenagers recited in Sunday school and church, making their parents and loved ones extremely proud.
