📗 Eden Phillpotts (1862-1960) was an English author, poet and dramatist, best known for his Dartmoor cycle of 18 novels and two volumes of short stories, including The River. The River Dart in Devon, England rises high on Dartmoor, and releases to the sea at Dartmouth. Its valley and surrounding area is a place of great natural beauty.
