PREFACE The present work is the third of a series of elementary manuals dealing with the science subjects most closely related to the textile industry. It has been prepared to enable prospective textile students and others to become familiar with machine drawing, and thus to provide them with the knowledge necessary for the understanding, working, or superintendence of textile mechanism. The very work of drawing the various parts of a machine provides an insight which can only be equalled by an extended acquaintance with the machine and its functions.
