🔖 Leadership behavior is viewed as an important variable that fuels leadership effectiveness and organizational performance. Evidence confirms that improving any leadership behavior will have positive effects on employees' satisfaction and commitment, and, consequently, on an organization's performance, where people watch their leaders' behaviors as clues to what is accepted and what is not. Several years ago, the UAE government initiated numerous programs under the so-called 'Emiratization' strategy to encourage recruitment of nationals in public and private sectors, which becomes real in the managerial level, and no study has been done on that so far. Thus, this study investigates the leadership behaviors that are exhibited by national leaders in public and private hospitals in the UAE, and examines how performance of organization is linked to these behaviors in terms of five 'Principles' and ten 'Core Concepts' constituting a Business Excellence Model (BEM) designed by the researcher for the purpose of this study.
