Gender Representation in Northern Nigerian News Media 12+

📘 Media representation tends to portray the female gender as inferior and subservient to the male gender. This project examines the representation of the female gender in the news media of Northern Nigeria. Through a content analysis of the Global News bulletin of the premier radio station of the highly conservative and patriarchal region, this project found that the news media keeps repeating the stereotypes associated with the female gender.
