📒 Pakistan Wetland Programme (PWP) reserved 10% of total area as wetland sites. 225 sites have been declared wetland as 14 national parks, 99 wildlife sanctuaries, 96 games reserves and 16 private or proposed sites. 19 sites in Pakistan's wetlands has been registered as Ramsar wetland sites and considered as internationally important. The goal of PWP is to conserve biodiversity with wise use of wetland resources. The PWP has divided wetland conservation and management projects into three phases: identification and reservation wetlands, conservation techniques applied, and reclamation and wise use of wetland resources. So far PWP has completed first phase (identification and demarcation of wetland sites) and is working on second phases. In second phase numbers of technique have been applied for the protection of wetland resource and biodiversity.
