📓 Excerpt from An Evening From Among the Thousand Evenings Which May Be Spent With "Punch": Being a Selection, From the "First Fifty Years of 'Punch,'" of a Few of the Pictures, Some of the Wit, and Some of the Wisdom, With Which the Volumes of "Punch" Abound; To Which Are Added Sundry Notes and Comments
If one dwelt long enough upon this train of thought, enumerating all the elements of value in the Punch volumes, one might well arrive at the conclusion that it was a crime to tamper with those volumes at all, and burn this small anthology unopened.
