📙 Book embodies an interesting account of hill stream ecology. In the book studies on Seer-a outer Himalayan stream situated in western Himalaya (Distt. Bilaspur, (HP), India) have been presented. The major aspects of the studies include Hydrobiology, Insect Fauna and Fish Diversity of the stream. Hydrobiological studies gives an interesting account of abundance and population dynamics of plankton and insect fauna which are further correlated with seasonal variations in hydrobiological data. Water temperature, water current, DO, turbidity and total alkalinity played important role in the stream ecological governance. Seer stream found to act as breeding ground for fishes of Govindsagar reservoir and feeding areas for their young ones.
