📕 This book documents, examines and analyzes historically, the policies related to secondary school agriculture and implications on curriculum improvement in Kenya between 1959 and 2004. Despite the concerted efforts by the Government through different education commission recommendations on policies aimed at improving secondary school agriculture curriculum between 1959 and 2004, there exists a lack of stability and full recognition of agriculture in the curriculum in terms of resource allocation, subject groupings and policy implementation. Contrary to policy recommendations on school agriculture, there have been failures to implement and lack of coordination on the recommended strategies. This book concludes that these policies had varied implications on curriculum improvement. The book recommends the strategies for education policy formulation and implementation for practical and vocational subjects.
