📕 Globe artichoke and red onion have a high percentage of natural Fructooligosaccharides (FOS) by chemical analysis of their carbohydrates content. The data also concluded that FOS supplementation in diet exhibited weight gain loss, hypoglycemic (lowering sera glucose) and hypolipidemic effect that they cause lowering of sera and liver lipids components, consequently decreasing the incidence of atherosclerosis and coronary heart diseases (CHD), to improve health by FOS administration which we can use artichoke and onion as natural source of FOS as a sweetener also we can use FOS in treatment of type 2 diabetes.
