🔖 This book attempts to illustrate the formation of my spiritual (religious) ideas developed mainly in the context of the Christian faith. My ideas have been formed slowly and rely on church attendance, Bible reading (mainly the New Testament), books of review, and radio and television programs, of which there were many in my formative period. My ideas also rely on my own life experience. As I probed the doctrines and beliefs, I gradually came to dismiss or modify them to form a logical and truthful faith. The most critical aspect of my search for the truth came by way of the sales tax case (described in more detail in the book), which triggered my first manic episode back in 1984. From that time on, I learned to follow the leading of God through episode after episode. Each episode, though unusual and very manic, taught me to follow God’s will until I truly became a servant of God in my daily life. I am a much more caring and sharing person now than I was before my first episode. I have learned that God is the spirit of goodness, and I try to let God’s Holy Spirit (inner voice) of love, truth, kindness, etc., invade my spiritual and daily life.
