📙 Grant (1852-1940) was an American author who became the first recipient of a Ph.D in English granted by Harvard in 1876, and also obtained a law degree in 1879. In addition to his writing career, he also served as a probate court judge from 1893-1923. This novel, first published in 1905, examines the impact of divorce in the upper class.
