🔖 Mary Louisa Molesworth (nee Stewart, 1839-1921) was an English writer best known for her children's stories which appeared under the name of "Mrs Molesworth," and which earned her the reputation of being "the Jane Austen of the nursery." The majority of her works were aimed at girls who had outgrown fairytales but were too young for adult fiction. This story includes 12 full-page illustrations and others integrated with the text.
