In The Field (1914-1915) The Impressions of an Officer of Light Cavalry

📖 Marcel Ernest Bechu (1879-1964) was a French author and historian who wrote under the name Michel Dupont. He served as a Lieutenant of Chasseurs (Light Cavalry) in France from the beginning of WWI, and later recorded his personal experiences of the early stages of the war in this book of impressions which is reprinted from the English translation by H W Hill published by Heinemann in 1916. Dupont's other works include Les Bouches Closes (1929), La Garde Meurt ... 1815 (1932), and Napoleon et la Trahison des Marechaux 1814 (1939).
