Venice Preserved. A Tragedy

📕 An English Restoration play written by Thomas Otway which was the most significant tragedy of the English stage in the 1680s. It was first staged in 1682 and was soon printed, enjoying many revivals through to the 1830s. The play was one of the best-known and most important of English tragedies for over 100 years.
