📖 Thurston (1875-1911) was an Irish novelist best-known for her political thriller 'John Chilcote, MP' ('The Masquerader' in the US) which appeared on the New York Times bestseller list for two years from its publication in 1904. Published the following year, 'The Gambler' also made the bestseller list, making Thurston the first author to have two top ten titles in a single year.
