📒 Kelly (1893-1915), an American, enlisted in the French Foreign Legion in 1914 aged 21 and was recorded as missing by the French Minister after his regiment took part in a severe engagement around Souchez on 16 June 1915. This book publlished in 1917 contains the letters Kelly wrote home to his parents in New York while serving in France, including the last postcard he sent dated 15 June 1915, together with background information on the Foreign Legion.
