📗 Burnham (1854-1927) was an American novelist best remembered for her "Christian Science trilogy" which included Jewel (1903), filmed as A Chapter in Her Life in 1923. Her popularity went beyond the Christian Science community and she produced 26 novels between 1881 and 1925. This work was first published in 1916.
