🔖 Sir Thomas Henry Hall Caine CH KBE (1853-1931) was a British author whose novels achieved great success in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. He also acted as secretary to the Pre-Raphaelite painter and poet Dante Gabriel Rossetti in the artist's later years. Caine was a lover of the Isle of Man and Manx culture and this novel concerning a romantic triangle, notable for its use of Manx dialect, was first published in 1894.
