The Untamed

📕 Frederick Schiller Faust (1892-1944) was an American author known primarily for his thoughtful and literary westerns written under the pen name Max Brand. Under the same pseudonym he also created the popular fictional character of young medical intern Dr James Kildare in a series of pulp fiction stories. Kildare was subsequently featured over several decades in other media including radio and television series and comics. One of his earlier works published in 1919, this was the first title in Brand's Dan Barry western series.
