📗 De Amicis (1846-1908) was an Italian novelist, journalist, poet and short story writer. In 1870 he joined the staff of the journal La Nazione in Rome and his work as a foreign correspondent later served as a base for his travel writings. This book on Morocco was first published in the original Italian in 1876 and is reprinted from an English translation of 1882. Illustrated throughout.
