📓 German Colonel Wilhelm Lessing of the German Abwehr, the German Military Intelligence Organization, is interrogating captured British soldiers of the World War Two German Army Blitzkrieg in Belgium and France in June, 1940. When the voice of a captured young British Lieutenant strikes a hidden episode in the deepest recesses of his mind.
The result in the following 34 days is a series of dangerous events including the possibility of a German Invasion of Britain. Additional events involve the Colonel, Admiral Canaris, Head of the Abwehr, Winston Churchill, Prime Minister of England, the second in command of the German SS, Obergruppenfuhrer Heydrich and other Germans and Englishmen.
Entwined with this series of events, is the personal problem of saving the young Lieutenant's life.
The action moves from the WW One's battle scared terrain of France, to Cherbourg France twenty two years later, then on to Brussels in Belgium, and Hamburg and Berlin in Germany, ending finally in the Schwarswald, the "Black Forest" area of southern Germany.
