Matrimony

📗 As the title would imply, Matrimony is the story of a long marriage, a family, and the inevitable changes that occur over time. Through her poetry, Laurel Feigenbaum depicts her husband’s last years of life, along with her thoughts, feelings, and events they coped with, including his six-week stay in a near-by, skilled nursing facility. Married for 66 years when he passed away, the poet shares her journey of learning to live alone for the first time, her grief, and recognition of the natural aging process as it affects us all.
