📕 A unique monograph describing a new surgical techniques for ultrasonic bonding of bones and cutting of live biological tissues first employed in 1967 and reported to the International Congress of Surgeons in Moscow. The method has been tested by the authors on more than a thousand experimental animals and has been employed to treat 550 surgical patients in traumatological, orthopaedic and thoracic clinics. The authors are a Moscow group comprising engineers from the Bauman Higher Technical School and surgeons from the Central Postgraduate Medical Institute, the Central Institute of Traumatology and Orthopaedics and the Institute of Clinical and Experimental Surgery of the USSR Ministry of Health.
