Alexander Pushkin. Fairy Tales

📗 We all of us liked to listen to fairy stories when we were very young, then to read them ourselves when we got a little older, and many, many years later we read them to our own children... The magical world of fairy tales interests adults as well as youngsters and many Russian artists have produced illustrations for the wonderful rhyming tales penned by Alexander Pushkin. For the first time ever the All-Russian Pushkin Museum in St Petersburg has provided for publication by our company unique pictures from its stocks that were inspired by Pushkin's fairy tales. A special place among these illustrations is occupied by the works of the outstanding graphic artist Ivan Bilibin and masters of lacquer miniature painting representing the schools of Fedoskino, Palekh, Mstiora and Kholui. The works of these original artists help readers to discover (or rediscover) the fairy-tale world of the great Russian poet. Read Pushkin and delight in "the Russian spirit"!
