The Trouble with Tycho

🔖 Sensing a trap, Jackson twisted the wheel of his machine and tried to get out of Tycho as fast as his rig would take him. Suddenly there was a flash and his rig went dead. The crew scrambled out the hatch and stood in stricken silence. They were stranded on the farthest side of Tycho's crater, with no conceivable way of getting out. "Look," said Brill suddenly, pointing upward. It looked like a cloud. It was a fiery thing that rolled against the peaks, like a monstrous diamond that had caught a ray of light. Then Jackson looked again, harder - it was not a cloud at all.
