📖 The album acquaints the reader with the newest trends in Soviet architecture, from 1960 to the present time. The introductory article written by A.Ikonnikov, Doctor of Architecture, the 148 full-colour illustrations, the site plans of various buildings included in the text, all serve to facilitate an understanding of the influence exerted by the new social structure of our society on the architecture of today. Reflected in the album are the different national architectural conceptions, as well as the most daring solutions and the most up-to-date technology in the construction industry. Much of the authors' attention is devoted to the problems of a synthesis of the arts and its realization in large-scale architectural complexes. The album contains photographs of buildings designed by the leading architects of Soviet republics.
